What does resizing an image change?
Resizing changes the width and height in pixels. It does not crop the image when the aspect ratio is kept locked.
How do I avoid stretching the image?

Does resizing guarantee a smaller KB file?
No. Smaller dimensions often reduce file size, but format, detail and encoding quality also affect the number of kilobytes.
